A little while ago I got a comment on my blog from a gal who wanted to spread kindness but was concerned about the financial investment.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that you DO NOT have to spend a lot of money to be kind. Gah I cannot believe I even have to type that.
Some of the greatest things I have done have cost less than a dollar!
Here are just a few ways that you can totally make someones day on the cheap!
Post-It nice, encouraging notes on someones car!
On the Mirror in the bathroom at work.
On the computer screen of the girl that just passed by with a sad look on her face.
It doesn't even have to be a post it! Heck, use a napkin for all I care just leave a note and I promise you, It will change that persons attitude.
**** Side note: that girl, mentioned above, has no idea it was me that put that note on her computer and it is still there to this day.. that was 6 months ago.
Case in point.
Moving on.
Buy someone Else's drink!
You do NOT have to splurge on a $4 Starbucks coffee for a stranger. I like to use Starbucks for a lot of my kind acts because I frequently have gift cards and am there quite often. It truly is as simple as putting 4 quarters in a baggie and leaving a note telling the next person to use the machine to have a nice day!
Leave flowers for an unsuspecting girlfriend.
I was HUNTED down by the recipient of these flowers and given the best hug and smile ever. She has known of my kind shenanigans for awhile now and instantly knew it was me {So she says.. I still smell a rat} . She was so happy and walked around with a little pep in her step the rest of the day. These were about $3.00 at the grocery store. You DO NOT have to buy a dozen red roses to make someone happy. Leave carnations in a mason jar.. it looks good. I promise. It truly is the thought that counts.
This is one of my personal favorites.
Buy a box of cheap popcorn. take each package out and duct tape it to the Redbox machine
{or in this case a blue box that is still a red box .. I prefer not to bother with the complexities of the companies obvious color blindness}
That little $2.00 box of popcorn made 8 people happy.
Just think.. If all of the people that took a bag of popcorn have 2 people they wanted to share with at home.....
8 popcorn takers + 16 innocent bystanders =
24 happy people
For $2.00!
No. Brainer.
See what I mean folks! All it takes is a little thought and the choice to use your powers for good not evil to make a positive change in countless peoples days.
Now get out there and change the world.

You are a genius. Seriously. I love this list. I'm going to use it. All of them!
