It's Here It's here!
I have confirmation that the first recipient of Happy Mail (or as Mr. B calls it, happy meal) opened her box of happy mail today! So that means that I get to tell you all what was inside box #1 !!
{Thanks to Mr. B for documenting the pulling of the name!}
First of all, the lovely gal that was chosen to get Happy Mail is Katie better known in Internet world as Katilda. I love her.
I introduced myself to her the second she walked in like a crazed stalker and she gave me the polite "I have no idea who you are" look I walked away slowly and acted like it never happened.
That is until we went around in a circle and introduced ourselves to the group.
"I'm Chrissy, and I blog at Let Me See You Sparkle"
{blogger meet up; AA meeting; I like Internet friends and I'm addicted}
Light bulb.
I see in her eyes she finally knows who I am and all is good with the world.
We would go on to talk of wonderful things like her floral jeans and how cool it is when you have space between your thighs. lol skinny legged girls.
Since then, we are now friends on all forms of social media and she is the most active commenter I have.
Everything she writes to me gives me hurt cheek smiles. For realz.
She has also been one of the driving forces behind my ability to keep running for the 5k I will be doing {On SATURDAY!} She is so full of encouragement I am so very thankful for her.
SO, here is what I put together for her!
One of her resolutions this year was to eat Gluten free until her birthday comes in February.
So I knew that I wanted to include something that was gluten free.
Would you know, every mother flippin thing in this world has gluten in it! Gah. So much for that. NOT!
Thanks to the Internet and Target I was able to put in some sweet kettle corn and some salty almonds in the box!
She also wrote about her vintage plate collection that she has. These are in no way vintage; see: Target finds, but they had a very vintage feel to them and I felt like they needed to belong to her. Once I bought them I realized it may be weird to send a blog friend dishes. Eh. whatever. I spent a good 17 minutes trying to decide which ones I liked the best and the color combination that would work best. This is what I landed on and I couldn't be happier. Hellllllllllo ruffled plate. Ahhh.
So my wonderful Mr. B took the box of goodies and mailed them to her yesterday and while trolling Instagram I see that she got it and loved it! :) I was also told that many a friend got their happy mail today too! I couldn't just leave out all of the wonderful ladies that took the time to enter their info into my page on Inkinvite!
So moral of the story is, the first Happy Mail Mission is complete and was a total success! If you would like to join in on the fun you can go HERE and enter your address to be entered to get some Happy Mail!

Bahaha. Yes, this totally made my day yesterday! I felt so loved! And, I'm so glad you pointed out that time when I was awkward at the party. New crowds of people intimidate me and I think you caught the brunt of that, haha! But yes...the light bulb did eventually come on. Also, the "space between the legs" discussion was a lot more innocent than it sounds. Haha
