Thank goodness for random days off work.
I feel totally rejuvenated after this day and will go back to work and that will all go away. Muaahaha.
I woke up today and decided that it was going to be a good one.
I decided that I wanted to use my time to do good for others.
That started at Starbucks this morning.
I posted this picture on Insagram and Facebook and got more "likes" than any other picture I have ever put up. My friends like kindness. That's really great to know.
Caption: I'm about to buy this lady's coffee. Shh don't tell.
I did. And she honked and waved and smiled and it made my heart happy.
I went home from Mr. B's and took a shower and got ready for the day.
Uhh and today was a Rockin hair day. Fun Fact.
The next RAOK of the day was totally unexpected. I went to the mall to make an exchange and passed a pay phone. I just happened to have a few quarters in my wallet and I ALWAYS have post-its in my purse. The kindness opportunity was just staring me in the face.
There just so happened to be a Starbucks at the entrance of the mall and one of my bestest friends works in said mall so I decided to stop and get her favorite treat to surprise her with.
On my way out of the mall I left a few operation beautiful notes for the pretties of Arizona.
I left and had to stop at the grocery store and passed flowers that were on sale.
I remembered back to when Ashley from The Shine Project put flowers on a random strangers doorstep and I decided to take a page from her book and pick up a couple bouquets for a few unsuspecting houses.
I just love today. Everything about it really.
Every day we decide how the day will be.
We decide weather or not we are going to enjoy it. If we are going to use it to be kind or rude.
We get to make the decision of how we are going to live our lives.
It is not easy to choose happy every day. Some days are just plain hard and it is easier to succumb to the misery than to be grateful for the good, happy things that surround us. But for today at least I choose happy and it has been pretty gosh darn wonderful.
Until next time...
XOXO
